20 November 2024: Debbie Clements has been honoured for 40 years of service to MPMA in recognition for her remarkable dedication and contribution to the trade association.
Working in her role as Administration Manager, Debbie has been an integral part of MPMA. She is held in high regard as an exceptional individual whose dedication and commitment has been the backbone of the association, supporting the metal packaging industry for 40 years.
Debbie received her long-service award at the MPMA Annual Dinner held at Drapers’ Hall on 15 November. Known for getting on with the job and shying away from the limelight, the presentation of the award was an opportunity for the membership to express their gratitude.
“The MPMA team and the membership are wonderful to work with and have supported me throughout the years. It’s been a privilege to be part of such an amazing industry and to see how members have embraced changing customer demands with innovation and creativity alongside their commitment to advancing sustainability,” says Debbie.
As Jason Galley, MPMA Director and Chief Executive explains: “It was only fitting that on the night of the year when the MPMA membership gathers to celebrate a year in metal that we honoured Debbie and showed our wide appreciation for her hard work, loyalty and passion for the metal industry.”
Former MPMA Director Nick Mullen presented the award, remarking to MPMA members and guests: “Debbie’s unwavering commitment, wealth of expertise, and strong leadership have left an indelible mark on the industry, earning her the deep respect and admiration of colleagues and peers alike.”
“It has been my honour to work with the MPMA for several decades in various roles within the sector and it is extremely rare to work with someone who is so universally respected and valued. Debbie brings immense organisational skill in support of the MPMA management team, members and when needed the wider packaging community.”
